Hey folks, get out your colored pencils and sketch pads! (Don?t worry, if you don?t have colored pencils, a pen and the back of a paper napkin works too) Get the creative juices flowing and dream up a few extraordinary styles for the Artizara Fall/Winter 2012 Collection.

We have selected some fall fabric options to get you started, but the rest is up to you. Using those fabrics as a start, we want YOU to design some original casual tunics or shirts to be featured in our new collection. Create something with flair, something that?s you, because that?s what this contest is all about!

Inspired By Our Heritage

Our founder, Sarah Ansari, has been sewing clothes since she was young. Her mom taught her to make clothes piece by piece, and to have pride in her own skin.

Deeply inspired by the rich artistry of cultures influenced by Islam, Sarah recalls looking up at the ceiling in an ancient mosque, enthralled by the interlocking patterns that go on forever. "It's a metaphor for the universe, how we’re all inter-connected. Life is complex, it’s beautiful, and we’re all in this together.”

This is at the heart of why she started Artizara: to share a story of human connection through witnessing beauty.
