Modest Dresses & Tunic Tops for Women
To celebrate the sixth and final season of the British TV series Downton Abbey, select cities across the US will display some of the show’s most memorable costumes. From February 9 through May 8, 2016, Chicago’s Richard H. Driehaus Museum will open its doors for the exhibition Dressing Downton™: Changing Fashion for Changing Times. Produced by the London costume house Cosprop Ltd., the presentation features more than 35 garments, many of which incorporate early 20th centuryembellishments such as beading, embroidery and lace. Thanks to Artizara, 21st century women can wear the same elements via its lovely line of embellished modest dresses and tunic tops. Hand beading doesn’t have to be a thing of the past with this Mariel caftan dress. The gracefully flowing formal features a delicate metallic linear print in caramel (versions in maroon and black are also available). Ever versatile, the chiffon overlay covers a plain crepe long sleeve dress with a spaghetti tie belt that lets you wear it belted or loose. Plus, a coordinating soft chiffon scarf (included) completes the classic look.

Lightweight iridescent chiffon is stitched into slimming inverted pleats at the bodice and releases into full, flowing skirt at the waist. The body is lined in poly for full opacity and vibrant silver color (versions in teal and raspberry are also available). If that’s not enough, the abaya also includes a dyed to match hijab with contrast gold edges.
Persian embroidery inspired by century-old designs from Yezd punctuates this Abeer tunic. The gorgeous floral top creates a straight silhouette in a buttery soft, no-wrinkle opaque fabric that is available in granite or poppy.
You’ll be both captivating and demure in this formal crafted in stretch floral lace with a hint of sparkle. Fully lined in tan crepe, the maxi dress is modest yet stunning. It’s also a great deal since it comes with a coordinating soft chiffon scarf.
