Elegant sterling silver "Sufi" earrings hand painted by Turkish artisans, symbolizing "Sufism", the inner mystical dimension of Islam. Hand painted and fired on ceramic is an image of a whirling "dervish" another name for the Sufi seeker. The Sufi movement has spanned several continents and cultures over a millennium and Sufis are characterized by their particular attachment to "dhikr" or the remembrance of God.

Each piece is individually hand made following centuries old jewelry making traditions. Differences in the painting, slight marks and imperfections are a hallmark of the individuality of this product and no two pieces will be exactly alike.
